Basket of Books Raffle

PTA is doing a basket of books raffle (1 for each grade K-5). Teachers will hand out 1 raffle ticket per student’s family that attends conference . To be entered the raffle Parents/Guardians need to put the ticket in the grade specific bag at the Scholastic Book Fair in the library.  Each basket will contain 20+ books for each grade.  All the books within that basket are at the recommended reading levels for students in that grade.  The drawings will be held at our Literacy Night/Grand Event Book Fair, on Thursday, November 30.

Planning ahead for Fall!

Hello families!

The school year is underway, and we know how busy everyone is.  To help with your planning, here is some information about our October events!

Watch D.O.G.S. Kick-off and pizza party will be held on October 2nd, starting at 6:30pm, in the Commons.  We are planning on having our dads in school starting in mid-October, so please come and find out more information, hear from some of your fellow dad/volunteers, and sign up for your own day to be part of MHE Watch D.O.G.S!

We will once again have a membership drive, which will run from October 9th-27th.  Becoming a paid member of the Maplewood Heights PTA not only shows that you "buy in" to your child's education, but it also gives you access to numerous discounts as a member of both the Washington State PTA, as well as the National PTA.  Our membership drive will have some fun moments, so stay tuned.

Our October PTA meeting will be on October 10th, at 6:30pm. Our featured speaker will be Dr. Damien Pattenaude, Superintendent of Renton Schools.

Rounding out the month, Multicultural Night will be on Thursday, October 26.  Start thinking of ways you would like to highlight your heritage.
